Three area high schools are among the top 25 in Florida, according to rankings released by U.S. News & World Report.

The 2014 Best High Schools rankings were released Tuesday. U.S. News analyzed more than 31,200 public high schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The three area schools that made the list are as follows:

  • No. 6: Edgewood Junior-Senior High School (Merritt Island)
  • No. 9: West Shore Junior-Senior High School (Melbourne)
  • No. 18: Osceola County School for the Arts (Kissimmee)

Four schools in Florida made the national top 25 list.
