The U.S. Supreme Court will not consider Troy Victorino's appeal for a new trial in the murders of six people and a dog at a Deltona house in 2004.

The murders are often referred to as the "Xbox murders" or the "Deltona Mass Murders." It's considered the bloodiest murder in Volusia County's history.

Victorino was convicted and sentenced to death in 2006. Three other men were also convicted: Robert Cannon, Jerone Hunter and Michael Salas. Hunter was also sentenced to death, while Salas and Cannon got life sentences.

In 2004, Volusia Sheriff's investigators said Victorino and three other men went to a home in Deltona and beat six people and a dog to death. Investigators said the men were taking revenge against one of the victims, Erin Belanger, who kicked Victorino out of her grandmother's home. Investigators said Victorino and a group of people were squatting there.

Victorino allegedly claimed Belanger stole some of his belongings, including an Xbox.

Justices did not give a reason for denying the appeal for a new trial.

Victorino has long claimed his lawyer failed to take certain action that might have changed the jury's verdict.
