The proverbial "cherry" is now atop the highly anticipated thrill ride at SeaWorld's Aquatica.

In a new video, Aquatica Orlando’s Vice President Bryan Nadeau goes behind the falls of Ihu’s Breakaway Falls to see what it takes to build Orlando’s tallest, steepest and only multi-drop tower slide of its kind.

From the installation of three “breakaway boxes” to raising the more than 40,000-pound Aquatica roof, crews have been working day and night to get ready to open Ihu’s Breakaway Falls on May 9.

Now that the roof is on, the maximum height is 105 feet. You step into one of three "breakaway boxes" at nearly 80 feet. There is a fourth slide that SeaWorld said is "just as thrilling," but doesn't have that glass "casket," if you will.

"We think they're going to use that to introduce themselves to that breakaway box," Nadeau said of first-time riders.

As you're enclosed in the "box," you're able to look out at other riders, who will fall one-by-one. You never know who’s going to breakaway first – and the anticipation of who drops next is part of the wild ride.

The concept of a floor that drops out is not new. But SeaWorld said Ihu's Breakaway Falls is the only one that puts you face-to-face with your friends as you face your fear.

"So if we're riding with each other," Nadeau added, "you and I are looking at each other, and we don't know who's going to drop first."

He said that anticipation adds to the overall (intentional) anxiety of the ride.

Each slide is a different color and takes you on a different adventure, including what happens after you drop the initial 40 feet.

"(There's), like, four 360-degree spirals before (riders) hit the runout," Nadeau said, referring to one of the slides.

So what's the scariest slide -- the one everyone will challenge each other to go on?

"Orange is going to be the longest drop," Nadeau said, smiling. "So I'm going to go big or I'm going to go home. So, orange will be the first I test ride."

Ihu's is named after Aquatica's gecko mascot.
