A 22-year-old man from France was killed early Sunday morning in Orange County after he was hit by a car at the intersection of University Boulevard and Technological Avenue, troopers said.
Geoffrey Pimpernelle was improperly crossing University Boulevard around 2:12 a.m., according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. Meanwhile, Catherine Jacqueline Eads, 22, of Naples, was traveling westbound on University Boulevard.
Pimpernelle failed to yield to Eads' right of way and walked into the path of her Honda Civic. The front of Eads' car struck Pimpernelle.
The crash remains under investigation, troopers said.
