A dog who survived an attack by a bear is now up for adoption in Lake County.

Percival, a tri-color Treeing Walker Coonhound, was living in the woods when he was attacked. He was found with a gaping wound in his back and hemorrhaging behind one of his eyes. Animal Services workers cleaned him up. His foster parents continue to care for his wounds.

Animal Services said he is under 2 years old. He will weigh less than 60 pounds.They say Percival is good with kids, dogs and cats. He is neutered and up to date on his shots.
