Lockdowns have been lifted at three Orlando schools after a police search for an armed suspect came up empty Tuesday afternoon.

The entire area was searched, and no suspects were located, police said.

The schools that were on lockdown are as follows:

  • Edgewater High School
  • Lee Middle School
  • Princeton Elementary School

Police said a man broke into a vehicle on the 2800 block of Edgewater Drive around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday. A witness told police the man had a gun and ran from the scene.

The suspect was described as a dark-skinned male. Witnesses have given two different descriptions of what he was wearing:

  • One witness said the suspect was wearing a camouflage jacket with black sleeves.

  • Another report had the man wearing blue jean shorts and no shirt.

K-9 police dogs searched the area.
