A jury has been seated in the trial against Michael Dunn, in which the Stand Your Ground defense will not be used.
Opening statements are expected to begin at noon Thursday.
Dunn, who is from Satellite Beach, has pleaded not guilty to charges he shot and killed 17-year-old Jordan Davis during an argument over loud music at a Jacksonville gas station in November 2012.
The jurors will be sequestered during the trial.
Dunn faces life in prison if convicted.
