A Wesley Chapel man was killed early Tuesday morning after he crashed his car in Sumter County.
It happened at 3:40 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 470 and County Road 431.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Nathan Wayne Crawford, 45, was traveling west on County Road 470 and lost control of his car on a curve at the intersection of County Road 431.
Investigators said the car left the roadway, traveled onto the shoulder into a ditch and then went airborne and collided with a tree.
Crawford was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
