Police are looking for the man who robbed a La Quinta Inn in Marion County at gunpoint Thursday night and left with about $185.

An employee of the hotel, located at 3530 S.W. 36th Ave., told police she was robbed around 8:50 p.m.

According to a report, the man walked in and started a casual conversation with the employee. The man then brandished a black handgun, pointed it at the employee, and said, "Take out the cash quickly, and I won't shoot you," a report states.

The employee told police she put the money from the cash register into a bag. She told police there was about $185 in the bag.

The man, according to surveillance video, was wearing a red long-sleeve sweater, a white undershirt with tan, cargo-style pants and black high-top tennis shoes.

The employee described the man to be more than 6-feet tall, missing teeth and was in his late 50s or 60s.
