A former employee of Orange County's Park and Recreation department is accused of bringing child pornography into a park in Apopka, officials said.

Michael Scott Dudley, 51, was arrested and charged with 100 counts of child pornography.

Dudley worked at Magnolia Park in Apopka, but he retired Dec. 11 after one of his coworkers discovered pornographic images of children engaging in sex acts on Dudley’s personal computer, investigators said. The coworker alerted authorities.

According to Orange County officials, Dudley recently celebrated his 30th anniversary with the department before retiring.

Parents who were at the park Friday said the news is disturbing.

"That's terrifying," said Tara Mennche, who frequents the park. "We live down the street. I come here all the time with my son, and I have a little girl, too."

Dudley appeared before a judge Friday for the first time. The judge kept Dudley's bond at $100,000 — $1,000 for each count of child pornography.

The judge told Dudley that if he's able to post bond, he's not allowed to have any unsupervised contact with anyone under 16 years old.

"Makes you feel a little better that another employee spoke up, but to just to know that somebody like that was here, I could have spoken to him, he could have been around my children and I had no idea," Mennche said.
