The search is on for a killer whom police said shot a man in the face at an east Orlando apartment complex Thursday afternoon.
The shooting happened just before 3 p.m. as children were arriving home from school at the Blossom Corner Apartments, on Raper Dairy Road near Curry Ford Road, east of Semoran Boulevard.
According to neighbors, several suspects chased down the victim and shot him at close range.
When Orlando police arrived, they found the unidentified victim unconscious. He was later pronounced dead.
Detectives would not immediately say how many suspects were involved in the shooting. Police also did not immediately describe the suspect or suspects.
