A woman is dead after being hit by a car on John Young Parkway Tuesday night.
It happened just before 8 p.m. near West Sand Lake Road.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a car driven by 58-year-old Brenda Walker of Orlando was headed northbound and struck 43-year-old Michelle Donnelly of Orlando who was in the road.
According to the FHP report, Donnelly was not crossing the street in a crosswalk or at an intersection.
The crash remains under investigation.
