A Brevard County man is grieving after losing three family members in a tragic crash several days ago.

Twenty-two-year-old Cameron Greene, 20-year-old Paige Altman and their 2-year-old daughter Kylee Altman were killed in a head-on collision in Christmas after a day of holiday shopping Sunday, Dec. 14.

The community is rallying around the Altman family, who has run an air conditioning repair business in Titusville for 35 years.

“We have so much support from the public, people we don't even know,” said Gary Altman, Paige’s father.

Cards have poured into the business and flowers cover Paige’s desk where she worked.

Gary told News 13 the emotion comes in waves.

The trio was returning to Titusville when 32-year-old William Ogletree collided with the family’s car on State Road 50 at Cupid Avenue, killing all four.

FHP troopers said Ogletree was driving on the wrong side of the road.

“They tried to hit the brakes, but it was too late,” Altman said.

An Orange County deputy, who was on alert for a wrong-way driver, was behind the family’s car and witnessed the tragedy.

“He did try to help them, but it was too late. We are very grateful for that though,” Altman said.

Now as Christmas approaches, the Altman family grieves.

The last time Altman saw his loved ones was the night before at the Titusville Christmas Parade.

“We're all OK, we're going to survive. Heaven gained some angels,” Altman said.

Troopers still aren't sure why Ogletree was driving on the wrong side of the road.

Funeral services for Paige and Kylee Altman will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20 at Faith City Church, 5195 U.S. 1. A celebration of life will follow.
