Hundreds of less fortunate children are getting their Christmas wishes granted early this year.

Thousands of presents were handed out Saturday to more than 1,500 boys and girls as part of Christmas for the Kids Osceola

“So if I can’t afford what they really, really need for them, this is a place where they help us and the help is very much needed,” said Yolanda Jones.

In Osceola County, there are more than 3,000 students living without a permanent home. The school district expects to see even more by the end of this year.

To keep up with the demand, Christmas for the Kids Osceola helps more and more families every year.

Next year they hope to break their record once again.
