A dazzling light show at one Osceola County home has people talking and raising money for a good cause.

The Johnson home on Moore Street in St. Cloud is decorated with 38,000 lights that are synchronized to 14 different songs. Visitors are amazed at the spectacle.

“This looks amazing. This is beautiful what they have here,” said Dashka Celestin.

It’s that kind of reaction Marty Johnson and his family hoped for when they put up all of the lights.

“We give tours and ask people to see what we have to offer,” Johnson said. “We got the lights all the way up in the tree. We had to rent a 40-foot boom.”

But surprisingly it’s not all about the light show at the Johnson house. This year they wanted to do something different.

“So we wanted to see if we could raise some funds for Nemours, the new children’s hospital here,” said Marty Johnson.

With each song, they hope to raise enough for a gaming system for the kids at the hospital. Their success so far has encouraged them to make this a tradition.

“We are just going to continue to build on it and make it a community event,” said Johnson.

They hope to add even more lights to their show next year and raise even more funds for another charitable organization.
