A Marion County man is facing numerous charges after he lead deputies on a high-speed chase Wednesday after they say robbed his father and grandfather at gunpoint.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office says Adam Hampleman, 27,  robbed two firearms, cell phones and silver coins from his family members and when deputies arrived at  the home they saw Hampleman's car leaving the area and tried to pull him over.

The Sheriff’s Office said a deputy attempted to stop Hampleman's vehicle but he fled and began driving recklessly in and out of ditches, through people's yards and speeding through stop signs.

The chase ended when deputies performed a PIT maneuver, precision immobilization technique, causing Hampleman to crash into a power pole.

Investigators say a 17-year-old was found inside the vehicle with Hampleman.

Hampleman is charged with robbery with firearm, child abuse without great bodily harm and fleeing and eluding law enforcement officers at a high rate of speed.
