The St. Cloud Police Department is spreading holiday cheer with children in need.
The department partnered with Wal-Mart and Chic-fil-A for the “Shop with a Cop” program in which Officers from the St. Cloud Police Department share Christmas with children and their families from the local community who are in need.
On Wednesday students from each of the schools within the City of St. Cloud joined members of the St. Cloud Police Department for a few hours of shopping at Wal-Mart.
“It is also our goal each year to help children who have not participated in the Shop with a Cop program in the past”, said Chief of Police Pete Gauntlett. “I can say without hesitation that the St. Cloud Police Department looks forward to this event each year. Officers gladly support the Shop with a Cop program. This is one of the many ways St. Cloud Police Officers make a positive contribution to the community”.
Children also received a free kid’s meal gift card for Chi-Fil-A.
