A Lake Panasoffkee man was killed Wednesday afternoon after troopers say he crashed his pick-up truck in Sumter County.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Steven Kent Shafer, 65, was traveling west on CR-470, east of CR-501 and traveled off the roadway through a barbwire fence and into a field.
Troopers said Shafer was pronounced dead at the scene.
