A Wildwood man was killed Tuesday morning in a two car crash in Sumter County.
It happened around 10:30 a.m. on County Road 476 E at State Road 471.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Samuel Saleem, 70, of Wildwood was traveling east on County Road 476 E and attempted to cross State Road 471 and traveled into the path of a car driven by 82-year-old Charles F. Anderson of Lakeland.
The impact caused Saleem’s car to overturn and collide with a fence on the shoulder of the roadway.
Saleem was transported to Bayonet Point Hospital where he later died.
Anderson was transported to Dade City Hospital for serious injuries.
