A Tallahassee woman was killed in a crash on Florida's Turnpike in Sumter County Friday night.
The Florida Highway Patrol is now investigating the single-vehicle crash.
According to FHP, 33-year-old Erika Kubik was traveling in her 2005 Honda Accord on Florida's Turnpike approaching mile marker 302 in the left lane. At this point, investigators say Kubik's car traveled into the median for an unknown reason where it collided with the guardrail.
Impact with the guardrail redirected the car, which traveled back across the southbound lanes of the turnpike and onto the west shoulder where it struck a speed detection pole before coming to a stop.
Kubik was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash from her injuries.
No other information has been released at this time.
