It's not even Thanksgiving, but it's starting to look a lot like Christmas at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom as the holiday festivities are underway.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party has begun for the season. This year's theme is "Frozen," based on the highest-grossing animated film of all time.

On select nights between now and Dec. 19, guests with tickets for the party will be able to experience the night with Queen Else and Princess Anna.

Twice nightly, Cinderella's Castle will be transformed into a sparkling ice palace.

Also starting Friday, Nov. 7, the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights changes Disney's Hollywood Studios into a winter wonderland synchronized to music and displays of lights.

Lots of lights. About 10 miles of rope make up the display.

Even though "Frozen" hit theaters before Christmas in 2013, this is the first year it's been the overall theme.

Kate Pappas, Disney's creative entertainment manager, said using "Frozen" as the theme was "a natural fit."

"The characters are so beloved and popular with the music," Pappas said. "It's just a lovely story, and it fits so perfectly with our winter holidays here at Disney World."

The garland that used to hang over Main Street USA has been removed this year, as well. Instead, new arches have been set up. It will allow for people to view the castle from farther back.
