Wednesday will be partly cloudy, warm and humid for early November. Afternoon highs will climb into the lower-to-middle 80s with an ongoing chance for Atlantic showers to cross into the coastal counties.

On Thursday, the ridge of high pressure breaks down as our next cold front moves into the peninsula. Winds will turn south and southwest ahead of the front which will keep us warm and humid on Thursday with a chance for showers and even one or two thunderstorms during the evening. Highs on Thursday are once again expected to reach the middle 80s.

A large area of high pressure stretched across the eastern seaboard remains  in control of our weather pattern through early Thursday. As the high pressure transitions east onto the Atlantic, the clockwise wind flow around it will keep winds off of the Atlantic elevated. The fresh onshore flow is allowing for increase humidity levels over the area and that will keep overnight lows 5 to 8 degrees warmer than normal overnight. Look for partly cloudy skies overnight, with lows in the lower to middle 60s inland and the upper 60s to near 70 degrees along the coast. The east winds will result in a few Atlantic showers, some of which may affect coastal areas this morning.

The cold front will clear the area early Friday, allowing for a cool northerly wind flow to bring chilly conditions back into the forecast. Highs on Friday will be in the middle 70s under sunny skies, with slightly cooler than cooler than normal conditions extending into the weekend. Showers creep back into the forecast for Sunday.

There is a small chance that an area of low pressure north of Puerto Rico may take on some tropical characteristics in the next day or two, but the potential is quite limited. In the tropics, generally quiet conditions exist for much of the Atlantic basin. There are no tropical systems to track at this time. Atlantic Hurricane Season runs through November 30.
