A feast fit for a pilgrim -- in a place a pilgrim might feast -- took place on the tall ship El Galeon, docked in Port Canaveral for a two-week port of call.

The 16th century replica merchant vessel is here just in time to host a holiday meal with all the trimmings.

Including 20 turkeys made just for today.

Part of the bounty of food being served on board this 170-foot-long, 500-ton ship.

More than 200 diners showed up for two different meals this Thanksgiving Day to eat like the pilgrims did back in the 1600s.

Or if you are the Cooks of Merritt Island, how about dressing like a pirate while you enjoy your 'dressing'.

"ARRRRRR, a lot of memories will be made today," said Rhonda Cook.

This is special for the Spanish crew, who don't celebrate Thanksgiving.

"The whole idea of this ship is for people to be transported back in time," said Ulises Custodio, of the tall ship El Galeon.

And make time for a special turkey-day dinner, on a ship that sailed the high seas long ago.

"I hope they do it next year too," said Ryan Cook.

The tall ship wraps up it's port of call this weekend. Friday, a gallery of Pirates of the Caribbean Disney Fine Art will be displayed.
