The cooler and drier air continues to filter in behind the cold front that cleared Central Florida early Wednesday. Strong winds out of the northwest dropped temperatures back into the 50s for the afternoon after starting the day in the upper 60s to around 70 degrees. This cooler weather will stick around, along with some sunshine, for Thanksgiving Day.

Happy Thanksgiving! We can definitely be thankful for some gorgeous weather on this holiday. Plenty of sunshine with drier air in place all day long and comfortable temperatures. After the chilly start, highs will climb into the upper 60s to low 70s for the afternoon. Winds will be a bit breezy out of the northwest.

Lots of sunshine will continue for the rest of the week and into the weekend with temperatures warming back up. The numbers will already be back into the 70s by Saturday.

No activity is occurring in the tropics as we have now entered the final week of hurricane season. The Atlantic Hurricane Season officially ends Nov. 30.
