A South Daytona man will likely spend the rest of his life in prison prison after being sentenced for his wife’s murder.

Back in May, Christopher Haag called 911 himself to report his wife, Rose, was unresponsive and he claimed his house had been ransacked.

However, investigators say Haag's story changed several times, and that they believed he was the one who killed her.

Officers say they found a substantial amount of blood throughout Haag’s home including a trail of blood with drag marks.

Last month, Hagg pleaded no contest to second-degree murder, he was sentenced to life in prison Friday.
