Two people were hospitalized after being burned in a house fire in Lake County early Friday morning.
The fire broke out around 1 a.m. on Sherwood Place, in the Bassville Park area east of Leesburg and just west of Lake Eustis.
Lake County fire officials said crews arrived to find flames shooting from the roof of the home.
Two people inside the home were burned. One was flown to Orlando Regional Medical Center. The second was taken to a local hospital. The victims' conditions were not immediately released.
The house was about 25 percent involved when firefighters arrived to the scene.
Investigators said the home appeared to be a total loss. They could not immediately say what caused the fire.
