A loss-prevention worker at Ross department store is accused of taking indecent photos of a young girl.

Antonio Aletriz Torres, 28 years old, was a loss prevention officer at a Ross store in Kissimmee when he was caught on camera walking into the women’s bathroom. That’s when a 13-year-old girl says he put his cell phone over the stall and snapped a picture.

In the arrest report recently released by the Kissimmee Police Department Torres told detectives he took a picture of the girl, and she wasn’t the first. Investigators say he admitted to taking inappropriate photos of women at Ross “a few dozen times” over the past several months.

Donna Gavern, who frequently shops at the store, was not pleased with the news.

“They are there to protect the people, to protect the store, but they are the ones who are the problem in the store,” said Gavern.

News 13 received the following statement from Ross’s corporate office in regards to the incident:

Ross Dress for Less is committed to providing its customers with a safe and secure shopping experience. Store Management immediately contacted the police when it heard about the incident, and has cooperated fully with police enforcement throughout its investigation. The employee in question has been terminated. He also was subject to a criminal background check at the time of his hire. Ross will continue to strive to create a safe and enjoyable shopping experience in our stores and encourages our staff to report any suspicious activity they see.

Torres was booked into the Osceola County Jail on charges of video voyeurism and was released on $2,500 bond.

Investigators told us they do believe there are several women out there who may be victims, but Torres told them he deleted the photos.

If anyone has more information or if they believe they may have been a victim they are encouraged to contact the Kissimmee Police Department directly at 407-847-0176.
