A bitter arctic blast is gripping the entire country.

Fifty percent of the U.S. is now covered in snow. There are freeze reports in every state -- even Hawaii and here in Florida. The panhandle saw temperatures in the upper 20s.

In fact, Tuesday was the coldest November morning since 1976. Meteorologists say it's rare to see weather like this in November. It's more typical for January or February.

Upstate New York could see almost 6 feet of snow, making many roads impassable.

More snow is expected Wednesday and into Thursday.
