Detectives with the Osceola County Sheriff's Office arrested a Kissimmee man after an investigation revealed he had an inappropriate relationship with a teenage girl.
Angelo Mendez, 26, of Kissimmee, was charged with 10 counts of lewd and lascivious battery.
The investigation began Nov. 11, when deputies received information about an inappropriate relationship between Mendez and a 14-year-old girl.
The victim's mother told deputies she saw inappropriate messages on her daughter's Facebook account and another message application.
Detectives met with the victim, who cooperated with the investigation. She told detectives she was having a sexual relationship with Mendez.
Mendez also cooperated with the investigation, deputies said.
He told detectives he was aware of the victim's age and knew it was inappropriate, but he continued the relationship.
Mendez was taken to the Osceola County Jail.
