An early morning fire destroyed a mobile home in Marion County on Thursday, officials said.

Ocala Fire Rescue responded at 7:28 a.m. to 1612 N.E. 25th Ave., where a single-wide mobile home caught on fire. The mobile home was at the Wagon Wheel Mobile Home Park.

The residence was fully engulfed, officials said. Residents were outside of the home when crews arrived.

The flames were under control in about 12 minutes, but firefighters continued to smother the remnants of the fire after 9 a.m.

The fire was contained to the mobile home where it initiated. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the incident is unknown at this time, officials said.
