How do you get your life back on track after you get out of jail? That will be the subject of a special meeting this week in Lake County.

County Commissioner Tim Sullivan, who chairs the re-entry subcommittee, says the goal is to reduce recidivism. But offenders often face many barriers including finding a job, housing and finances.

The public is invited to the meeting at the Leesburg Community Center Friday afternoon at 12:30 p.m.

There will also be a Community Resource and Career fair going on at the same location from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

The idea of having the two together is to connect anyone, including those just getting out of jail, with the resources they need.
