Hours before the release of an exclusive Florida Decides poll on the governor’s race, A Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday finds former Gov. Charlie Crist pulling ahead of Gov. Rick Scott.

The new poll shows Democrat Charlie Crist with 43 percent, inches ahead of Republican incumbent Gov. Rick Scott with 40 percent and Libertarian candidate Adrian Wyllie with 8 percent and 9 percent undecided.

An Oct. 22 poll survey by the independent Quinnipiac showed Gov. Scott and Crist tied 42 – 42 percent, with Wyllie at 7 percent.

The poll shows among those who already have voted, Crist gets 40 percent to Scott’s 39 percent.

Qunnipiac University surveyed 817 likely voters. The margin of error in this pole was +/- 3.4 percent.
