Inmates will soon be on the loose in Brevard County, but it's for a good cause.

The JailBreak Brevard 2014 Adventure Race will take from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the jail complex in Sharpes.

Participants are the inmates escaping from behind bars. They are pursued by the Brevard County Sheriff's Office bloodhounds and the SWAT team.

All fitness levels are welcome to participate in the race, but the course can be extreme with obstacles to get through. Proceeds benefit United Way of Brevard, the Children's Advocacy Center and area animal shelters.
