The E-PASS lanes along State Road 408 at the Pine Hills toll plaza remain closed after a garbage truck crashed into the median, killing the driver.
The crash happened around 9:35 a.m. Wednesday.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the truck was traveling west in the inside lane when the left front tire separated.
The truck then sideswiped the barrier wall for more than 150 feet and overturned, coming to rest on top of the wall. Debris from the truck and crash spilled onto the eastbound E-PASS lanes.
The driver was trapped inside the truck and pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers originally closed the entire roadway, but have since reopened the cash lanes to traffic.
The truck's driver identity has not yet been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
