Florida Senator Marco Rubio hasn't exactly stuck to his guns over the past 20 months when it comes to immigration reform.

Rubio created a bill to push for a strong immigration reform, only to abandon his support of the bill later in the same year.

Senator Rubio says the American people need confidence that immigration on the country's southern border is under control before Congress can address the millions of people already living in the country illegally.

He made the statements during a campaign stop in New Hampshire, where immigration has become a big issue recently.

Senator Rubio helped craft a comprehensive immigration reform bill that passed the U.S. Senate last year, but now says he no longer supports that approach.
