High pressure continues to have a firm grip on our weather pattern, and will do so through the weekend into the start of next week. This ridge is helping to block a surge of tropical moisture to our south, keeping the rain far from Central Florida. Expect lots of sunshine all weekend with warm afternoons in the 80s and cool overnights in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Some of the clouds that moved in Friday afternoon will decrease through the overnight hours. Mostly clear skies are in the forecast as temperatures drop to around 60 degrees. Some of our northern cities will drop again back down in the 50s. Winds will weaken slightly early Saturday morning, but a decent breeze along the coast will continue.
Saturday will begin on the cooler side, but warm quickly into the upper 70s to low 80s. Low humidity will stick around, which will make it feel quite comfortable. Winds will pick up again around 5-15 miles per hour out of the north. The higher winds will make for rough boating conditions. The lakes will be choppy and wave heights will be higher. The rip current risk remains at the moderate level.
In the tropics, there is one area of interest for possible tropical development, but poses no threat to Florida. What was Tropical Depression Nine is now a remnant low. It is poorly organized but creating heavy rain across interior sections of the Yucatan. There is a low chance that it could re-develop now that it has moved into the western Caribbean. This low will maintain a southeast track, away from Florida. All other areas in the Atlantic are quiet.
