The most common place to see ghost and goblins on Halloween is on the streets. But in New Smyrna Beach you can see them on the surf.

The Smyrna Surfari Club is holding its annual Spooktacular Surf and SUP Contest on Saturday and Sunday.

That's when surfers put on their scariest costumes, catch waves and compete for prizes.

Winners are judged on their costumes. They have to ride at least one wave during the heat.

The event starts at 9 a.m. and proceeds benefit the Smyrna Surfari Club Scholarship Program.

Registration information can be found on the club's website.
