After a four-day investigation, two Osceola County teenagers have been arrested and charged with attempted murder for stabbing someone following a physical altercation, deputies said Wednesday.

News 13 is not releasing the names of the teenagers, who are 14 years old and 16 years old, per our Crime Guidelines.

The investigation began around 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, when deputies responded to the Brighton Lakes community basketball courts, located at 4250 Brighton Lakes Blvd., in Kissimmee.

When deputies arrived to the basketball court, they saw a victim with apparent stab wounds. The victim was airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, in Orlando, in critical condition.

Deputies spoke with several witnesses at the scene who indicated the victim was involved in a verbal altercation with two unknown suspects. They were arguing about inappropriate comments the suspects were making about a girl who was also at the court, deputies said.

A physical altercation ensued, and one of the suspects pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim, deputies said.

After further investigation, detectives were able to identify the two teens as possible suspects. Witnesses confirmed they were the two suspects involved in the incident.

Based on information and evidence located during a search warrant of the suspects' homes, the teens were arrested Oct. 21 and were taken to the Orange County Juvenile Detention Center.
