Two people have been charged in a deadly shooting in Brevard County over the weekend.
It happened Sunday at a home in the 300 block of Riviera Boulevard in Indiatlantic.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said Joseph Milman, 25, shot and killed Scott Hyatt, 51, and shot 48-year-old Robert Mell, who is in critical condition at Holmes Regional Medical Center.
Investigators said Milman got the gun from a 17-year-old boy and shot the two men in order to take prescription medication from them.
Milman is charged with First Degree murder and attempted first degree murder and robbery.
The 17-year-old was also charged and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
Per our crime guidelines, we are not naming the juvenile.
Milman is being held at the Brevard County Jail.
Both Milman and the teen are being held without bond.
