In the tropics, there are two areas being watched for development over the next few days.
The first is a low in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico. Designated Invest 93, this system has a medium chance of development over the next 2 to 5 days as it shifts east through the Bay of Campeche and eventually over the Yucatan Peninsula.
Another area of low pressure in the eastern Atlantic Ocean, Invest 92, is near the Azores and has a low chance for tropical development in the next five days.
