Walker Middle School, in Orlando, was briefly put on lockdown Monday morning, Orange County school officials said.
Deputies were working a residential burglary in the area, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office. The investigation prompted the lockdown.
The lockdown was lifted around 1:15 p.m.
The school is located at 150 Amidon Lane, in Orlando.
