With the general election a little more than two weeks away (Tuesday, Nov. 4), early voting officially gets underway across Central Florida on Monday, Oct. 20.

Early voting will begin at 8 a.m. in Orange County. Thirteen centers are available to eligible voters through Sunday, Nov. 2.

Hours of operations each day are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Florida law requires voters to present signature and photo ID when checking in to vote early. If a voter has moved since the last elections — especially if they've crossed county lines — they are asked to call 407-836-VOTE (8683) to update their registration record prior to voting. This will expedite the early voting check-in process, officials said.

Early voting is one of three voting options available. Voters can also vote by mail by requesting an absentee ballot or they can vote on Election Day at their assigned polling location.

For more information, call 407-836-VOTE (8683) or go to www.orangecountyvotes.com.
