Thousands of people gathered around Lake Eola in downtown Orlando Saturday morning to raise money for Alzheimer's research.

News 13's Ybeth Bruzual was the MC for the Walk to End Alzheimer's.

The Alzheimer's Association holds the event every year to raise money for research to help cure Alzheimer's and related forms of dementia.

Alzheimer's is the sixth-leading cause of death in America.

Walks like this one are held in more than 600 communities across America every year.
