Abundant sunshine remains in the forecast through at least Tuesday.

Highs will top out near 85 degrees with lows falling into the low 60s.

Our next chance for rain won't come until Wednesday, thanks to a weak low that could form.

Our weekend started out comfortable with lows Saturday morning in the middle-to-upper 50s. Brevard County was slightly warmer in the lower 60s, but still nice and cool. Plenty of sunshine followed the cool start and temperatures warmed into the middle-to-low 80s. We have some minor changes heading our way for the start of the work week, but quiet weather sticks around Sunday.

Clear skies will continue overnight. Without clouds to blanket Central Florida, temperatures will be able to fall again to around 60 degrees.

Lots of sunshine will start the day on Sunday. Most will remain under sunny skies heading into the afternoon, but an approaching front will allow for a few clouds to form. Highs will be warm, climbing into the middle to low 80s. The approaching front will be mainly dry as it moves through on Monday, but a stray shower cannot be completely ruled out. Wind speeds ahead of the front will pick up out of the north-northeast, between 5-15 miles per hour.

By mid-week, models are picking up on an area of low pressure developing along this front down near the Bay of Campeche. As the low tracks east along the front, rain chances will increase in Central Florida. Right now, the possibility remains at 20-30 percent for Wednesday through Friday, but there is a lot of uncertainty of exactly how far north the low will travel, so the chance could change.

Ocean conditions will continue to improve for the end of the weekend. There is still a moderate rip current threat from the long period swell, but the east-northeast swell and wave heights will start to come down.

In the tropics, Hurricane Gonzalo continues to race away from Bermuda. There are no longer any watches or warnings. Sunday, the storm is expected to shift into cooler waters of the North Atlantic and lose tropical features. There are two other areas of concern in the tropics. Low pressure is expected to develop near the African coast and has a low chance for tropical development in the next five days. The area of low pressure that will increase our rain chances this week also has a low chance for tropical development in the next five days.
