Orlando officials are preparing to meet in order to approve new development downtown.

The new headquarters for the Orlando Police Depertment Headquarters will be just one of the topics on the list at next week's meeting.

Renderings of the new proposed building located along South Orange Blossom Trail were made available in July.

Back in January when it was proposed, the project was estimated to cost around $43 million.

The new building is expected to hold about 300 people.

Also on the agenda is a new downtown hotel.

The proposed Hyatt Place hotel will be 15 stories with 212 rooms.

It'll be located on the corner of South Street and Garland Avenue.

The hotel would also include a Church Street Ballroom.

Leaders are also set to discuss an Ace Cafe Motorcycle Club along with Orlando Sentinel's property.

That meeting is scheduled for Tuesday.
