A convicted sexual predator who removed his GPS monitoring device has been captured.

Osceola County investigators say Joseph Hartman somehow took off the monitor around 2:30 Friday afternoon.

It was found at a 7-Eleven in Kissimmee.

Law enforcement immediately began searching for Hartman, who was convicted of molesting a 7-year-old girl and is serving 15 years probation.

Hartman was located in South Georgia, just several hours after the search for him began.

He will be facing multiple charges, including felony charges for violatin his probation and tampering with electronic monitoring equipment.
