A Marion County man is under arrest after deputies say he lead them on an off-road chase.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says on Sunday evening a deputy attempted to do a traffic stop in the

16900 block of West Highway 318 on a 2001 Lincoln four-door sedan for illegal window tint.

Investigators say the driver, 24-year-old Warren Frazier, then increased his speed and attempted to elude the deputy and turned right on NW 170th Street.  While turning around a corner in a wooded area with long grass the Sheriff’s Office said it looked as if Frazier’s vehicle got stuck, but as deputies were exiting their vehicles to apprehend him, Frazier took off again.

Deputies said Frazier then exited his car and jumped over three fences to try to get away from deputies but he was apprehended.

Once apprehended deputies say they found 19.5 grams of powder and crack cocaine in Frazier’s vehicle and that he did not have a valid driver’s license and is currently on felony probation.

Deputies said they also discovered Frazier was a suspect in a Marion County fleeing and eluding case from January of 2013 and that he admitted his involvement in that case as well.

Frazier is currently being charged with drug sale and manufacture, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing or attempting to elude, resisting without violence and Driving While License Suspended or Revoked.

He is being held in the Marion County Jail on no bond for violating his probation.
