Are you and your kids ready to get into the Halloween spirit?

It's the second annual "The Great Pumpkin Rescue" coming up this weekend in Rockledge.

You don't need a pumpkin patch though. The festivities take place at the McLarty Aquatic Center on Barton Boulevard.

Participants will be given a number that matches a gourd floating in the water. Then the search is on to find it, then decorate the pumpkin.

Prizes will be awarded in each age group.

Registration costs $5 for children ages 5 to 12 years old and includes the pumpkin rescue, the decorating contest, two hours of swimming and a treat bag.

The Great Pumpkin Rescue runs Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
