A slightly warmer day in store for Tuesday, before another cold front hits Central Florida on Wednesday.

A few clouds will roll in off of the Gulf through the overnight hours. Temperatures will be cool, dropping into the upper 40s to around 50 degrees. With some moisture around at the surface, areas of patchy fog may develop.

As humidity levels manage to climb on Tuesday, our temperatures will climb to the middle to lower 70s ahead of a cold front that is expected to move in to Central Florida in the late afternoon hours. Winds will also begin to pick up, eventually running in the 15–20 mph range as they blow in from the west-southwest. Cloud cover will increase, though rain chances are forecast to be limited to a 20 percent chance for some of the needed precipitation.

An increase in the wind will also create for some hazardous ocean conditions over the next couple of days.  A Small Craft Advisory has been issued starting Tuesday afternoon and lasting through Wednesday.  There is also a Gale Warning offshore where wind speeds up to 25 knots are possible.

The front should drop through late in the evening and allow the drier air to once again return to the area. Temperatures will fall back to the middle to upper 30s for areas north and west of Orlando by Wednesday morning as skies clear out. A Freeze Watch has already been issued for late Tuesday into Wednesday morning for northeast Florida, which includes Marion County. Winds are expected to remain fairly strong as they shift to the northwest, so wind chill readings will once again be a factor making it feel more like the low 30s to even the upper 20s.

After a cold start, daytime highs on Wednesday will only manage to reach the middle to upper 50s area wide.
