Police in Fort Myers said a man admitted to them that he was texting and driving when he crashed his car earlier this month.
Fort Myers Police said Michael Woody, 23 admitted he was texting behind the wheel when officers caught him driving erratically.
Video of the crash, which happened around 1 a.m. on Jan. 4, was captured on patrol car video.
Woody crashed into a bus stop sign and tree and then the car flipped over.
Police said Woody climbed out of the car and wasn't hurt. He was cited for careless driving and texting while driving.
